The Casco Mask™ features two components:

  1. Medical-grade silicone earloops with an integral lanyard. These are dishwasher and sanitization-safe, and soft around the years during periods of extended use.

  2. Disposable face mask covers made from white non-woven material. Additional covers are available at wholesale pricing, making the Casco Mask™ an affordable business solution.

Wholesale Face Masks with 6 Advantages

The Casco Mask™ was engineered with the following advantages in mind:

  1. Hypoallergenic medical-grade silicone is safe for skin contact.

  2. The soft, stretchy silicone is comfortable around the ears during all-day wear.

  3. The lanyard allows the user to wear their face mask around their neck, rather than stuff it in their pocket or leave it somewhere, potentially exposing themselves to germs.

  4. The earloops and lanyard are dishwasher and sterilization-safe.

  5. It can be tightened to the user’s preference. This means that it works well on smaller and larger faces.

  6. The disposable face covers make it a clean and affordable longterm solution when combined with the reusable silicone face mask earloops.

Face Masks for Coronavirus, According to CDC Guidelines

The Center for Disease Control has released helpful guidelines in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Among many other suggestions, the organization recommends covering one’s face when in public in addition to social distancing, hand washing, and cleaning protocol.

What type of face mask for coronavirus protection should be used? For any medical questions, please speak with your physician. Additionally, consult the CDC website for accurate and current information on the pandemic’s evolution and research surrounding it.

Keep in mind that the CDC does not recommend N95 or medical face masks for everyone. Instead, the organization encourages those who do not work in medical professions or who are not essential workers to reserve PPE (personal protective equipment) for those who need it most. For information about your personal medical situation, speak with your doctor.

6 Types of Coverings: Respirator, Surgical, and Medical Face Masks

There are regulations on choosing the right equipment. Specifically, there are six classifications that a mask may fall into. Please note that our design is minimum performance, meaning that it functions only as a barrier and does not protect against fluids or aerosols.

  1. Minimum Performance: Does not provide filtration and serves as a basic barrier between the mouth and nose and air, not liquids. The Casco Mask™ is a minimum performance covering.

  2. Low Performance: Typically, these are surgically molded masks that offer a tighter fit than a minimum performance device.

  3. ASTM Level 1: Designed for medical use in which some fluids may be involved.

  4. ASTM Level 2: Designed for medical use in which a medium amount of fluids may be involved.

  5. ASTM Level 3: Designed for medical use in which a heavy amount of fluids are involved.

  6. Maximum Filtration: Also known as a N95 respirator, maximum filtration devices are meant for use when treating of patients suffering from diseases that travel through air and fluid particles, such as influenza, tuberculosis, and COVID-19.

If you have any other questions about this technology, please consult a medical professional or government office. The ASTM levels require testing for fluid resistance and filtration capabilities.

What Level Of Protection Does The Casco Face Mask Offer?

The Casco Mask™ is a minimum performance covering, meaning that we have not tested its filtration levels and do not make any claims as to filtration capabilities. It has not been tested per ASTM standards. For medical advice concerning the spread of COVID-19, please speak with your physician.

Face Mask vs. Shield: What’s the Difference?

A face mask covers the mouth and nose, not the eyes. By contrast, our face shield is made from thermoplastic and covers the eyes, nose, and mouth with clear plastic. Our face shield exists in a category beyond those listed above. It may be used alongside one of the mask types in the above list.

CPAP Respirator and Other Components

In addition to PPE for medical professionals and face masks for disease prevention, the COVID-19 pandemic has also created unmet demand for oxygen therapy equipment. This includes ventilators and CPAP machines.

Casco Bay Molding also has the capability to manufacture ventilator and CPAP components. Especially the former, these are key in COVID-19 treatment. As there is no cure or vaccine for the virus, people suffering from extreme cases of coronavirus receive oxygen therapy through a ventilator or (typically when that is not available) through a CPAP machine.

We have designed and manufactured components for both types of equipment. If you have any questions pertaining to this or have a part you would like quoted, please submit an RFQ (Request for Quote) and we will be in touch shortly.
